If we all had a dime for every time we heard that! We all are fully aware of the economy and all that it encompasses. I am not sure, however, that we are all aware of the rewards of coming out of bad economic times. I would like to point out a few. First, as a people we are more focused on what is most important to us; community, family, and simply the things that will always be there regardless of what the “economy” does. We appreciate all of our gifts in life, our homes, our relationships, so much more than we did when we had everything at our fingertips. Back to basics is really the theme these days, and not just with personal relationships, but business as well. As the businesses that survived, recover, they are more aware of their relationships, of their gifts and of their money as well. The days of companies throwing money around and not expecting or monitoring their ROI are gone (for now). You have to show value in every service or product you provide. We want to see as much bang for our buck as we can and businesses want to see the most return on investment. It boils down to… what does it cost and what do I get for that cost?
